Tikar Picnic / Tikar Revolution 2012 in Kota Kinabalu

First of all to the Borneo Youth Revolution group, I couldn’t find your website/anything related, so you’re a group to me. If I’m wrong, as in you’re an association or NGO or something, comment down below and let me know please.

So – with Tikar Picnic / Tikar Revolution 2012 organized by a group called the Borneo Youth Revolution, you get to have a picnic right in the middle of Kota Kinabalu city with your friends, eat your hearts out, enjoy the good music and story telling, poetry and just chill at Lintasan Deasoka, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu. Among the musicians lined up are Sabah’s own Ukulele group- Orkes Akiuku!

The story telling will be told by old timers who have been residing in Gaya Street since Day 1. Stories that will be covered are the Atkinson Clock Tower, the Cobbold Commision..and many more interesting stories. For the music part, there’ll be a music forum/ lepak session and a jam session by the old and new of KK music industry.

Bring your tikar/mat/blanket to sit on + food & drinks! All expense by yourself.
Dress code was ‘Oldies!! Go crazy!’ I guess it’s time to rummage through your parent’s old closet. xD

I’m sooo excited about this event!! I’ve never been so excited on events before but this! Cuz it’s our history here that we have a chance to listen to from the first few people! Imagine that. From their own mouths. But too bad damn it I couldn’t come on that day. This Sunday I’ll be off back to Kuala Lumpur already and won’t be back for a few months time. =( Aih. Sad.
